EcoCradle Packaging

If you’re concerned about choosing packaging materials that are environmentally responsible, without sacrificing performance, then EcoCradle® is for you. Many consumers today are frustrated by plastic foam packaging that fills our landfills and pollutes our oceans. Those first few seconds when customers open a package are critical to establishing a great first impression. Why not wow them with the state of the art in renewable materials?

Building Products

Ecovative’s building materials are all still in development and currently are not available for sale.
Mushroom materials can be used for a variety of building applications, including insulation, structural insulating panels and acoustical tiles. These materials have low or no VOCs (volatile organic compounds), are fire resistant, and perform similarly to traditional synthetic materials.

Insulation

Ecovative insulation helps you reduce the amount of energy used to build your home, and is a safer material for your well-insulated building. There are many great loose fill or batt insulations that are eco-friendly, but almost all rigid board insulation is made from petrochemicals, resulting in significant COemissions during the manufacturing process. Proper construction with rigid board insulation provides a tighter envelope with fewer thermal bridges resulting in a more energy efficient building.
Mushroom insulation is safe to touch and can be installed without any special safety gear. Additionally there are no spores or allergy concerns associated with the use of this material, and it achieves a class 1 fire rating without needing toxic fire retardants.

Structural Insulating Panels (SIPs)

Ecovative insulation can be sandwiched between engineered wood panels to create the ultimate solution for eco-friendly, energy-efficient construction. We take things one step further. We not only replace the EPS or XPS foam insulation board, we also have no need for applying any toxic adhesives. The mycelium of these growing materials is able to bond itself naturally to the wood. The end result is a SIP that is highly insulating and also structurally sound for roofs, residential construction, or commercial applications.

Acoustical tiles

This material also has excellent sound dampening properties uniquely suited for making acoustical tiles. Our materials can be produced in standard sizes with a variety of surface finishes.
